Gas Prices Hitting Your Wallet?

The Shortcut: With gas prices over $4/gallon and parking costs on the rise, you may be wondering how you can save yourself some money and stress. An Employer or a Personal City Go Membership can help!

Gas, Parking Costs on the Rise

There’s no denying it! Due in part to supply chain issues, the shifting demand for crude oil, and world events, gas prices are steadily ticking up to some of the highest rates ever seen in U.S. history. And while the Biden Administration has announced the release of one million barrels of oil a day from the country’s Strategic Petroleum Reserve for the next six months, gasoline prices are sure to stay high through spring and possibly longer.

In Boise, parking prices are also gradually increasing. On April 1, 2022, the fee for using the Park Mobile app increased to $0.35 per transaction. Additionally, the Capital City Development Corporation will implement rate adjustments for all ParkBOI facilities on May 1st. While these small increases help maintain services and provide a fund for necessary structural renovations, they can make getting to and from Boise more costly.
